#Feed5000

providing meals to reduce festive season hunger

#Feed5000, The Hope Exchange’s annual festive season feeding programme aimed at reducing hunger by providing meals to the our city’s homeless community,  will run between 11 December 2021 and 16 January 2022. As more people are finding themselves homeless and relying on the streets for their survival, there has never been a greater need to give hope and serve those who are hungry and alone over the holiday season.

#Feed5000 brings a sense of hope, happiness, and gratitude to those in need at a time when our city center empties and access to food and resources for the homeless community are limited  . The issues and concerns of growing poverty and homelessness is an incredibly sad reality and we need the support of the wider community to help us ensure the homeless are cared for and have access to basic services for their continued good health, safety and dignity.

The countdown to #Feed5000 has begun

Our partners

We’re excited that the 2021 #Feed5000 initiative will be run in partnership with Ladles of Love, where Danny and the team (supported by RPj Helping Hands) will be creating delicious and nutritious meals, and as ever will be serving them with love and a smile, along with all our volunteers. . .

At a time when the mainstream service providers are closed for the holidays, The Hope Exchange, in collaboration with Ladles of Love, RPj Helping Hands, businesses, organisations, clubs and generous donors, provides meals to those living on the streets when they need it the most.

How you can get involved:

This year’s campaign will be bigger and better than ever before. With the increase in demand we expect to beat the 11,516 meals served last year.  If you would like to support us in giving hope to the homeless please use the links below to donate, support or volunteer. Every little bit helps.
