What are you doing for Madiba Month?

What are you doing with your 67 minutes of giving back, representing the number of years Nelson Mandela stood up for a cause?

How are you contributing to living his legacy and making a difference?

The Hope Exchange has 3 options where we need assistance.

Option 1: Make a financial contribution

In these Covid times, taking action and inspiring change as per Nelson Mandela’s values is more important than ever before. Commemorate Mandela Day by donating to The Hope Exchange which assists the homeless. You can give a monthly or once-off payment of R67, R670, or R6700, or anything you can afford.

Option 2: Donate inkind toward our daily services

Consider donating non-perishable foods, blankets, small to medium size clothing, shoes, underwear, socks, detergents and toiletries to assist us with the daily services we provide at The Hope Exchange.

Collect and donate 67 of the same or mixed items, get 67 friends, family and colleagues involved with the collection drive, spend 67 minutes trying to get as much inkind donations as possible or combine all three activities. Keep safe and have fun while helping the homeless.

Option 3: Make emergency blankets for the homeless

In the convenience of your own office, or at home, you can make emergency blankets for our clients. These are especially helpful during winter to keep them somewhat warmer and dryer.
It’s easy and you can turn it into a fun activity.

Make 67 blankets during the next month. See how many you can make in 67 minutes.
Turn it into a team event with 67 participants or a competition to see which team will hit the 67 mark first. Create a production line, sing songs, put some music on, talk to each other, connect and make a difference
