#Feed5000 – Donate

Make a money or food donation

Every single donation will help us succeed in feeding hundreds of homeless and vulnerable people every day for 5 weeks. We appreciate any support – for only R250 you will cover our very basics to give one homeless person a healthy meal every day in the #Feed5000 period.

Choose your preferred payment option below and make the reference “F5 [your email address]”.

Note: The Hope Exchange was founded as The Carpenter’s Shop, but has since then change to the first a trading name.

Support with food ingredients

If you wish to provide an in-kind donation instead, we are always in need of the items below (in bulk). You can drop this off at The Hope Exchange, 14a Roeland Street, Cape Town.

We will be using liters of cooking oil. Preferable the kinds which are ideal for cooking at high heat.

Penne pasta would be great or a similar variant. Goes well with a yummy thick vegetable sauce. Spagetti can be a bit tricky when you cook at the scale we do.

Plain brown or white. It is a stable our clients appreciate.

The perfect meat substitute and allows us to cater for most diets/religious beliefs.

Also, known as legumes. We like them all as they are stuffed with nutrition.

We can always use fresh vegetables. Any kind. They will boast all our meals.

Would you like to also help prepare and serve the meals? Signup as a volunteer.
